Colorfast is a ready-to-use, finely ground blend of synthetic iron oxide pigments and admixtures designed for integrally coloring cementitious overlays, micro-toppings, or skim coats. Colorfast is also used widely in concrete countertops both as an integral coloring system and broadcast coloring system to create natural variegated-marbleized visual effects.

COVERAGE

Color Fast is available in 10lb pails. Coverage is based on the desired color intensity and can vary considerably. The standard dosage is from ¼ to 2 cups per pail of Pentimento, Skraffino, or Pasto. One 10lb pail of Colorfast has 13 cups of colorant.

 

APPLICATION

SHAKE-ON COLORING | Once perfected by the installer the shake-on coloring process allows for a more dramatic variegation in color shading. This is achieved simply by shaking on and trowelling small amounts of dry pigment into the wet mix. It is always advisable to include large mock-ups for this coloring technique before proceeding with the project.

INTEGRAL COLOR | When using Color-fast always disperse pigments in the activator (Cp1000) before adding the cementitious powder. This process
will allow for greater color consistency.
